Senior Actuarial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Heartland Farm Mutual. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and implementing actuarial models to support our insurance pricing and risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Actuarial Modeling: Develop and maintain actuarial models to estimate insurance risks and determine premium rates.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform our insurance pricing and risk management strategies.
- Research and Development: Conduct research and development of new actuarial models and techniques to improve our insurance pricing and risk management capabilities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, marketing, and risk management, to ensure that our actuarial models and data analysis are aligned with business objectives.
- Education: University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Professional Certifications: Successful completion of 4 to 6 exams from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an actuarial or data analysis role, preferably with property and casualty insurance exposure.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Excel, as well as a working knowledge of Emblem.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
