About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Assistant Operator to join our team at Cascades Canada ULC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of our printing presses, ensuring high-quality output and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Press Operation: Assist in the setup and operation of printing presses, including mounting plates or cylinders and making necessary adjustments.
  • Quality Control: Monitor regular press runs for quality using computer control consoles and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Maintenance: Remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of press runs and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Assistance: Assist skilled tradespersons with adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings and feed and unload production machinery and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, flexible, organized, reliable, and a team player.
