Job Title: Printing Press Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Assistant to join our team at Cascades Canada ULC. As a key member of our pressroom team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our printing presses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Filling ink fountains and controlling colour and viscosity to achieve desired results.
  • Setting up the press and operating at slow speed to check samples and ensure quality control.
  • Monitoring regular press runs for quality using computer control consoles and reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Removing and cleaning plates and cylinders at the end of each press run.
  • Performing other labouring and elemental activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of organization and reliability.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Quick learner with a willingness to adapt to new processes and technologies.
