Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Assistant Operator to join our team at Cascades Canada ULC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of our printing presses, ensuring high-quality output and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of printing presses, including mounting plates and cylinders, filling ink fountains, and controlling color and viscosity.
  • Monitor press runs for quality and make adjustments as needed using computer control consoles.
  • Remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of press runs and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Perform other laboring and elemental activities as required, including feeding and unloading processing machines and assisting skilled tradespersons.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
