As Canada's largest equipment dealer, Brandt Tractor leverages a robust global sales network. This position will utilize historical data, current market dynamics, and predictive models to equip leadership with the insights necessary for strategic decision-making.
The Demand Planning Manager will play a crucial role in:
- Anticipating future product demand and assessing inventory distribution.
- Creating, visualizing, and disseminating advanced forecasting models.
- Ensuring our equipment supply aligns with market demand, emphasizing promptness, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Projecting sales, rental usage, market share, and inventory levels through data analysis and market trend comprehension.
- Advising on inventory stocking levels to guarantee optimal product availability.
- Developing and refining both routine and specialized forecasting models, regularly updating senior management and inventory teams.
- Collaborating with inventory teams to oversee stock levels and initiate orders as necessary.
- Conducting root-cause analyses of demand-related challenges and recommending solutions.
- Implementing strategies to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Assisting management with risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Effectively communicating forecast and inventory projections to senior leadership.
- Monitoring and reporting significant shifts in sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
- Addressing urgent demand-related inquiries.
Required Skills:
- Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or data analysis.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in evaluating pricing strategies and projecting revenue and market share.
- Experience collaborating with sales and marketing on pricing strategies.
- Adept at multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and similar tools.
- Industry experience is advantageous.
Required Experience:
- Proven background in demand planning, forecasting, or data analysis.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
- Experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting market trends.
- Collaboration experience with sales and marketing teams on pricing strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and related software.
- Relevant industry experience is a plus.
