Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Gaming Cashier to join our team at Elements Casino Grand River. Reporting to the Cage Manager or Slot & Cage Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth cash handling operations, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills.
- Maintain meticulous records of all transactions and discrepancies, promptly reporting any suspicious activities.
- Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash, ensuring accurate payouts.
- Process machine fills, jackpot redemptions, cancelled credits, table fills, and credits with precision.
- Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants and other designated personnel, reconciling closing floats diligently.
- Transfer and secure floats, keys, and essential documentation, adhering to strict security protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with various operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Cultivate strong relationships with guests and team members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Adhere to all licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Minimum one year of experience handling high volumes of cash transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Safety Certification.
- Ability to obtain a Gaming License.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with guests and colleagues.
