Cashier/Count Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cashier/Count professional to join our team at the Great Blue Heron Charity Casino. As a Cashier/Count, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately managing cash and financial assets on the gaming floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cash and voucher transactions with patrons and internal customers
  • Work as part of a team to remove, replace, and count cash boxes on the gaming floor daily
  • Comply with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and applicable laws, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • Secondary school diploma
  • One or more years of experience in customer service and handling cash (preferably large volumes)
  • Strong knowledge of cash, foreign currency, and other settlement types
  • Working knowledge of computer software and ability to learn new software and systems
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to work in a physically demanding area
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to obtain registration as a category 2 Gaming Assistant with the AGCO
