About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator to join our team at Beedie. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of student wrap-around services and leading the development of the Mentorship Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and evaluate various mentorship platforms to recommend the most suitable solution for the program.
  • Lead the implementation and management of the new platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Oversee participant screening, training, matching, support, and supervision, recognition, and closure activities.
  • Develop and maintain program marketing materials, policy, and procedure manuals as needed.
  • Distribute program marketing materials and deliver presentations to targeted organizations and at key community events.
  • Create and implement an ongoing mentor recruitment plan, fostering strong relationships with schools, alumni, corporate, and community-based partners.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of mentor/mentee group events, recognition activities, and program evaluation reports.
  • Coordinate student support services, respond to students' inquiries, and contribute to new students' orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Support the Student Success Team, assist with designing surveys, reports, and monitoring the quality of students' academic experience and progress.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social work, psychology, education, or a related field, with a strong interest in student affairs and student development theories.
  • Two or more years of experience working directly with postsecondary students, preferably in mentoring, student development, or youth programs in a post-secondary environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mentoring program policies and procedures, ideally within a higher education setting.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM systems for data input, management, and report generation, with a focus on tracking student engagement and outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse student populations.
