Champlain Media is a dynamic international television production and distribution company with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Affairs Assistant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a hybrid work-from-home/in-office position to cover a one-year maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Business Affairs team with a robust slate of television movie productions.
  • Prepare Business Affairs deliverables, including start packs, open bank accounts, credits, collect wrap documents, and update spreadsheets.
  • Register all projects for copyright.
  • Track and communicate regarding delivery milestones and schedules.
  • Liaise with and maintain proactive communication with all other departments (production, finance, distribution, post-production) on various business affairs issues and provide general business affairs support.
Requirements:
  • Passion for both creative and business aspects of the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Highly reliable, with the ability to self-manage, problem-solve, and exercise excellent judgment.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive contributor and collaborative team member, with a strong commitment to learning and excellence.
