Position Overview: Digital Solutions Lead in Agriculture

This role aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Establish Bayer as the preferred partner for agricultural operations.
  • Empower team members to manage their local business effectively for the benefit of both customers and Bayer.
  • Instill trust and confidence in customers regarding the use of digital tools for informed decision-making.

This is a permanent, remote position requiring travel within designated regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to meet squad profit and loss targets.
  • Strategically plan and execute initiatives across short, mid, and long-term cycles.
  • Continuously adapt and prioritize tasks to ensure progress towards squad goals.
  • Work closely within the squad to clarify roles and enhance customer focus.
  • Utilize digital tools and agronomic knowledge to support and promote Bayer's comprehensive portfolio, leveraging market insights to identify opportunities.
  • Contribute to team dynamics through peer recruitment and performance feedback.
  • Promote a professional and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Engage with the broader digital community to introduce new products and enhance local value.
  • Drive awareness and demand for Bayer's digital tools while developing product expertise across distribution channels.
  • Act as a local expert in digital products, enhancing the team's digital skills focused on customer engagement and revenue generation.
  • Provide on-site expertise to assist key clients with Bayer's precision agriculture technologies, addressing challenges related to data collection and connectivity.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships, emphasizing digital interactions.
  • Leverage Climate FieldView as a tool to demonstrate the value of Bayer's Crop Science offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment, GPS technology, and farm management software.
  • Adaptable mindset with the ability to respond to evolving business needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and develop customized solutions.
  • Experience in utilizing digital tools for data management and analysis.
  • Knowledge of local agricultural practices and Bayer's product offerings is advantageous.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills in complex scenarios with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and safe vehicle operation skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Relevant professional designations such as CCA, CCSC, PAg (RTAg), or OAQ.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
