Position: Digital Solutions Lead in Agriculture

This role aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Establish Bayer as the preferred partner for agricultural operations.
  • Empower team members to effectively manage their local business for the benefit of customers and Bayer.
  • Instill trust and confidence in customers utilizing digital tools for their decision-making processes.

This is a permanent position that allows for remote work, with travel required within specific regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to meet squad profit and loss targets.
  • Strategically plan and execute initiatives in short, mid, and long-term cycles.
  • Continuously adapt and prioritize tasks to ensure progress towards squad goals.
  • Work collaboratively within the squad to clarify roles and maximize customer focus.
  • Utilize digital tools and agronomic knowledge to support and promote Bayer's full range of products.
  • Contribute to team dynamics through self-management practices, including recruitment and performance feedback.
  • Promote a professional and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Engage with the broader digital community to enhance product offerings and value for local customers.
  • Drive awareness and demand for Bayer's digital solutions across distribution channels.
  • Serve as a local expert in digital products, enhancing the team's digital skills and focusing on customer engagement.
  • Provide on-site expertise to assist key clients with Bayer's precision agriculture technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, emphasizing digital interactions.
  • Leverage digital tools to demonstrate the value of Bayer's agricultural portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment, GPS technology, and farm management software.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs with a flexible mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Experience in utilizing digital tools for data management and analysis.
  • Knowledge of local agricultural practices and Bayer's product offerings is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and safe vehicle operation skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Professional designations such as CCA, CCSC, PAg (RTAg), or OAQ.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications and database management.
