Position Overview:

Digital Solutions Lead - Agriculture

This role aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Establish Bayer as the go-to provider for agricultural operations.
  • Empower team members to effectively manage local business operations for the benefit of customers and Bayer.
  • Build customer trust and confidence in utilizing digital tools for informed decision-making.

This is a permanent, remote position with travel requirements within specific regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to meet squad profit and loss targets.
  • Strategically plan and execute initiatives across short, mid, and long-term cycles.
  • Continuously adapt and prioritize tasks to ensure progress towards squad objectives.
  • Work collaboratively within the squad to clarify roles and enhance customer focus.
  • Utilize digital tools and agronomic knowledge to support Bayer's comprehensive portfolio of products.
  • Contribute to team dynamics by engaging in peer recruitment and performance evaluations.
  • Promote a professional and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Engage with the broader digital community to introduce new products and add value to local markets.
  • Drive awareness and demand for Bayer's digital solutions while enhancing product expertise across distribution channels.
  • Increase the squad's digital proficiency, focusing on customer engagement and revenue generation through solution selling.
  • Provide expert guidance to key customers on implementing and troubleshooting precision agriculture technologies.
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships, emphasizing digital interactions.
  • Leverage Climate FieldView as a tool to demonstrate the value of Bayer's offerings.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment, GPS technology, and farm management software.
  • Adaptable mindset with the ability to respond to evolving business needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Experience in utilizing digital tools for data management and analysis.
  • Knowledge of local agricultural practices and Bayer's product offerings is advantageous.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills with a strong analytical approach.
  • Valid driver's license and safe vehicle operation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional designations (e.g., CCA, CCSC, PAg).
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
