Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Lead to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. As a key member of our squad, you will be responsible for delivering business outcomes, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving digital transformation in the agricultural industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Jointly own and achieve squad P&L targets, in collaboration with all squad members
- Plan, prioritize, and execute in short-term (90-day cycles), mid-term, and long-term cycles
- Adapt, iterate, regularly reassess, and prioritize tasks to ensure continued progress towards squad outcomes
- Collaborate and co-create within the squad to ensure clarity of accountabilities and maximize customer focus
- Leverage digital tools and agronomic expertise to position, support, and service the full Bayer portfolio of seed, crop protection, and new business models
- Contribute to effective team dynamics as a self-managing squad, via activities such as peer recruitment, selection, and performance feedback
- Foster an inclusive environment of professionalism and safe working practices, ensuring Safety and Compliance requirements are met or exceeded within the squad
- Collaborate with the broader Digital community to implement new products and increase value to local geography and customers
- Drive local demand and awareness of Bayer's digital tools and lead product expertise development across distribution channels
- As a local digital product expert, enhance digital acumen of the squad, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and digital revenue through solution selling using FieldView and New Business Models
- Provide on-farm expertise to assist key customers in installing and troubleshooting Bayer's precision agriculture technologies, addressing data collection challenges, connectivity issues, and educating on Digital Farming Solutions
- Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships, focusing on digital interactions such as sign-ups, onboarding, and engagement
- Utilize Climate FieldView as a selling tool to showcase the value of Bayer Crop Science Seed & Trait + Crop Protection portfolio
Requirements
- BSc in Agriculture or related discipline with minimum 2 years of experience
- Familiarity with OEM and aftermarket equipment monitors, GPS, auto guidance, and farm management software
- Flexible mindset and ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Strong interpersonal, team, and communication skills – presentation, written, verbal, and listening, to maximize results with customers and internal stakeholders
- Understands key customer needs to develop tailored solutions
- Experience using digital tools to manage, interpret, and leverage data
- Understanding of local crop production, agronomy, and Bayer portfolio for seed and CP
- Excellent problem-solving through analytical thinking in complex situations with minimal guidance
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles safely
Preferred Skills/Experience
- CCA, CCSC, PAg (RTAg) or OAQ designation
- Advanced computer and database skills with ability to use MS Office Suite as well as other BCS Software (CRM, Tableau)

This is a permanent, home-based position with travel within Northern Alberta and BC, based in the Grande Prairie, AB area.
