Position: Digital Solutions Lead in Agriculture
This role aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Ensure customers select Bayer as their preferred partner for agricultural solutions.
- Empower team members to manage their local operations effectively for the benefit of both customers and Bayer.
- Build customer trust and confidence in utilizing digital tools for informed decision-making.
This is a permanent position that allows for remote work, with travel required within designated regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to meet squad profit and loss targets.
- Strategically plan and execute initiatives across short, mid, and long-term cycles.
- Continuously adapt and prioritize tasks to ensure progress towards squad objectives.
- Work collaboratively within the squad to clarify roles and enhance customer focus.
- Utilize digital tools and agronomic knowledge to support Bayer's comprehensive portfolio of products.
- Contribute to a self-managing team dynamic through peer recruitment and performance feedback.
- Promote a professional and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Engage with the broader digital community to introduce new products and enhance value for local customers.
- Drive awareness and demand for Bayer's digital tools while leading product expertise development.
- Enhance the squad's digital proficiency, focusing on customer engagement and revenue through solution selling.
- Provide on-farm expertise to assist key customers with Bayer's precision agriculture technologies.
- Strengthen customer relationships through digital interactions and engagement strategies.
- Leverage Climate FieldView as a tool to demonstrate the value of Bayer's crop science offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment, GPS technology, and farm management software.
- Adaptable mindset with the ability to respond to evolving business needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maximize results with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Experience in utilizing digital tools for data management and analysis.
- Knowledge of local crop production and agronomy is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situations independently.
- Valid driver's license and safe vehicle operation skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Relevant professional designations (e.g., CCA, CCSC, PAg).
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications and database management.
