About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Inspector to join our Contract Administration team in the Transportation sector. As a Senior Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing and documenting contractor compliance with contractual requirements, taking accurate measurements, and preparing daily site observation reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee contractor compliance with contractual requirements
  • Take accurate and detailed measurements of work performed by contractors
  • Prepare daily site observation reports and maintain a daily photograph log
  • Assist Contract Administrator in preparing internal/external reports and status reports to clients
  • Review contractor submissions for compliance with contractual obligations
  • Confirm qualifications and certifications for contractor employees, resources, and equipment
  • Communicate with stakeholders as required
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of Senior inspection experience
  • Registration with OACETT as a P.Eng., P.L.(Eng.), R.C.S.I. or R.C.C.A.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of MTO CAIS Manual and CMS
  • Thorough understanding of design standards, OPSS/OPSD's, and methods and materials associated with municipal/highway construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D an asset
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites
  • Able to work overtime, on weekends, and nights as required
