**Job Purpose**:
The Assembly Manager oversees the entire manufacturing process and ensures the assembly or production process adheres to policies and procedures. The assembly manager job is to handle the cost efficiency, quality and safety throughout the manufacturing process. Assembly managers also works with other personnel to find cost effective and quality materials used in the process, constantly looking for ways to cut costs and streamline processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordinating the workload and discussing and completing reports about the production and the staff
- Responsible to ensure quality of the work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality
- Responsible for the overall supervision, accountability and direction of all directly ad indirectly reporting employees and contractors
- Responsible to maximize the level of output of the manufacturing and department by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment
- Manage the determination of project-required resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.),

Responding to and re-negotiating schedules as necessary to resolve any delays, unforeseen or otherwise
- determine and track manufacturing materials supply lines on a daily and weekly basis
- Communicate and meet with other department line managers on a regular basis to facilitate all manufacturing activities
- Communicate and meet with senior management to represent the needs of and optimization of manufacturing processes, capabilities and equipment
- Planning and organizing production schedules
- Organize and monitor workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Manage, supervise and evaluate performance of all production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Create and implement a maintenance plan for all manufacturing related equipment
- Ensure that Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations are followed

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Similar considered asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience Assembly Manager or Assembly supervisory/ management experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and have excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented and can be counted on to meet and exceed goals successfully
- Good computer skills and knowledge of technology
- Excellent problem solving and good communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to operate in all areas of the plant as well as shop floor environment and around machinery
- Ability to climb, walk, and light lift etc.
- Able to work overtime shifts as required
