About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Inspector to join our Contract Administration team in the Transportation sector. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing contractor compliance with contractual requirements, taking accurate measurements, and preparing daily site observation reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee contractor compliance with contractual requirements
  • Take accurate and detailed measurements of work performed by contractors
  • Prepare daily site observation reports and maintain a daily photograph log
  • Assist Contract Administrator/Senior Inspector in preparing internal/external reports and status reports to clients
  • Review contractor submissions for compliance with contractual obligations
  • Confirm contractor employee qualifications and certifications

Requirements

  • Recent grad from Civil Technician or Technologist Program
  • Registration or ability to register with OACETT as a .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations (environmental, health and safety)
  • Knowledge of design standards, OPSS/OPSD's, and methods and materials associated with municipal/highway construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D an asset
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites
  • Able to work overtime on weekends and nights as required
