Key Responsibilities

The Partner Manager will be responsible for initiating, developing, and sustaining productive relationships with IT vendors and internal teams. These relationships will serve as a foundation for negotiating optimal value for products, purchases, and services that align with the company's operational and strategic goals. This role necessitates strong relationship-building capabilities, coordination across various organizational interdependencies, and oversight of risks and issues while liaising with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in vendor management, encompassing operations, contracts, finance, sales, marketing, performance, relationship, and risk management, along with significant experience in cultivating relationships with IT vendors.

Specific Responsibilities

Business Partner Strategy & Planning

  1. Develop, implement, manage, and continuously refine the business plan for assigned partners, acknowledging the unique requirements of our business and the diverse markets we serve.
  2. Collaborate closely with the vendor channel community and sales teams to create highly sought-after solutions for target markets.
  3. Execute strategies across various routes to market, segments, and product lines.
  4. Act as a key liaison with Insight's counterparts for collaboration and communication on planning.
  5. Measure and present regular reports on sales, margins, supplier reimbursements, and performance metrics related to assigned categories, including feedback on partners and competitors.
Quarterly Business Governance

  1. Assess business changes and drive initiatives to enhance competitiveness and growth.
  2. Provide guidance to the leadership team.
  3. Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  4. Work continuously with the operations team to identify system requirements, categorization needs, and process requirements in support of overall objectives.
Partner Investment

  1. Promote awareness of Insight's value proposition and marketing offerings to partners.
  2. Establish partner-specific priorities and secure approvals for marketing development fund (MDF) investments.
  3. Manage the Partner MDF program.
  4. Ensure proper submission of proofs of performance (POP) for payment processing.
  5. Consolidate data sources to provide weekly updates on supplier reimbursements.
  6. Understand financial benefits related to supplier reimbursements and provide monthly reports to management.
  7. Recommend and negotiate promotional pricing, special buys, and event purchases.
  8. Assist in resolving vendor payment discrepancies.
Training & Enablement

  1. Implement training programs for new product introductions, refresh training, and ongoing development.
Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in partner business management, vendor management, or similar roles.
  2. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  3. Self-starter with multitasking abilities and leadership in a team environment.
  4. Experience in B2B e-commerce and/or distribution is advantageous.
  5. Sales or marketing experience with vendor solutions.
  6. Understanding of performance metrics.
  7. Strong negotiation skills.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  10. Bilingual proficiency is a strong asset.
  11. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  12. Ability to work effectively in teams.
  13. Management experience is a plus.
