Position: Family Law Clerk

Location: Vaughan, Ontario

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft a variety of legal documents including affidavits, motion materials, and settlement agreements.
- Prepare and compile necessary briefs and materials for case conferences, hearings, motions, and trials.
- Create correspondence directed to the court, opposing counsel, and external parties.
- Develop charts summarizing support payments and extraordinary expenses.
- Review and summarize productions received from clients and opposing counsel.
- Prepare financial disclosure briefs and Net Family Property statements.
- Assist in managing uncontested divorce files from start to finish.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court trial coordinators, and other external parties as needed.
- Schedule appointments and manage the supervising lawyer's calendar while documenting all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as required, including filing and document management.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a Law Clerk Diploma and/or Paralegal License/Diploma.
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in family law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Clio and/or PC Law, Divorcemate, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong understanding of service and filing protocols for court documents.
- Familiarity with current legal terminology and civil procedure court rules.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style as necessary.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A solid work ethic and the capability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
