Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinating Specialist to join our Specialized Services department at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in coordinating mental health and substance use services, ensuring seamless care coordination and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assign requests for consultation, prioritizing based on urgency and patient assessment
  • Provide consistent liaison with physicians, nursing unit staff, and other healthcare professionals, building capacity through supporting care planning and education
  • Network with community programs and support coordinated transitions to community
  • Support care coordination with relevant community and emergency services partners
Requirements
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN, with three years of recent related clinical experience in an acute care Mental Health and Substance Use setting
  • Current valid driver's license and successful initial RCMP Security Screen and subsequent Enhanced Security Clearance
  • Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to promote staff morale, cooperation, and assertiveness
