About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA to join our team at MUFG Investor Services. As a key member of our Database Team, you will be responsible for managing our Oracle databases, ensuring they are running in a healthy state, and providing primary support for Oracle Database and Oracle Weblogic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Install, patch, and maintain Oracle databases in optimal performance state.
  • Monitoring and Management: Proactively monitor and manage all database environments, ensuring business users can run systems efficiently and protected from failure.
  • Change Management: Ensure all database changes follow MUFG change management procedures and security policies.
  • Documentation and Standards: Create well-organized documents and standards for DBA team members to manage database environments effectively.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Provide timely support to business and application teams for database requests.
  • Performance Tuning: Create a performance and tuning strategy to resolve performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Security and Compliance: Work with the Security team to ensure database environments meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • On-call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation to support the operations of our businesses.
Requirements
  • Oracle Experience: Strong working experience in Oracle Database and Oracle Weblogic.
  • AWS Experience: Experience in managing Oracle databases in AWS environment.
  • Backup and Restore: Hands-on experience in backup & restore, database refresh, performance & tuning.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in production environments.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Good understanding of Oracle RMAN backup and High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge in AWS, Network, Storage, Backup, and Virtualization is a plus.
  • Experience: 3 years working with Oracle databases and Oracle Weblogic.
