We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at Starbucks. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and leading a team of partners to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts.
- Lead a team of partners to deliver legendary customer service and create a positive store environment.
- Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
- Communicate information to the manager to ensure the team can respond as necessary to create a positive customer experience.
- Assist with new partner training by providing positive reinforcement and coaching as needed.
- Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during shifts.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
- Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer-first attitude and connecting with customers.
- Discover and respond to customer needs.
- Develop positive relationships with shift team members by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts.
- Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
- Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by shift team members.
- Follow up with baristas during shifts to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and collaborating with the store manager to find new, creative, and effective methods of recognition.
- Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during shifts.
Requirements
- Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
- Ability to direct the work of others.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of the retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- French language fluency in reading, writing, and verbal is required.
