Business Development Representative - Commercial Construction

ClickJobz is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our commercial construction business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the commercial construction sector, including office buildings, retail, and industrial projects, with a focus on residential project development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our portfolio in both commercial and residential markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as the main point of contact to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and competitors in the Ottawa construction market, and leverage insights to enhance business development efforts.
  • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our company's strengths and capabilities in commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, estimators, and site supervisors, to align business development goals with project execution.
  • Oversee ongoing projects to ensure they meet client expectations, resolve issues as they arise, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent our company and grow our network within the Ottawa construction community.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development within the commercial construction sector.
  • Proven experience in residential project development is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of the Ottawa construction market and a track record of developing business in the region.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a client-centric approach to managing relationships.
  • Experience preparing and presenting proposals, bids, and reports to clients.
  • Familiarity with construction project management and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales tracking software.
