Position Overview

Mediabistro is seeking a skilled analytics professional to join our dynamic team in support of a prestigious automotive client. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and French and possess experience in analytics within media environments, whether at an agency, corporate, or media vendor. Familiarity with digital media concepts, including Search, Social, Video, and Display, is advantageous. A willingness to learn and clear, confident communication skills are essential. A robust technical background in relational database construction, data visualization, automation, and marketing technologies is required.
  • Deliver client presentations, comprehensive overviews, and tactical insights that detail media performance results to both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop, maintain, and update relational databases, dashboards, and automated reporting systems.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to ensure all data verification, quality assurance, and completion criteria are fulfilled prior to reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth campaign analyses, test learnings, and special project insights.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for automation and process efficiency improvements to leadership.
  • Provide training to both internal and external teams on dashboards and analytical tools.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on digital media campaigns, offering optimization recommendations by acting as a liaison between media planning, media buying, and other engaged agencies for data, analytics, and insights, including:
  • Campaign performance analysis (Efficiency and Effectiveness).
  • Media optimization recommendations for Search, Social, Video, and Display.
  • In-depth analyses of various media objectives.
  • Establishing Test & Learn frameworks and evaluating test outcomes.
  • Utilizing statistical models (time series, regression, etc.) for attribution analysis.
  • Media Mix Modeling.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading and mentoring analysts.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of ownership and driving results.
  • Experience in direct client engagement and managing client expectations.
  • Proficient in at least one dashboarding solution (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Preferred knowledge of Hive and SQL.
  • Intermediate understanding of statistical modeling using Python or R.
  • Strong familiarity with the media planning and buying processes from pre-planning to post-analysis.
