As an **Equipment Rental Specialist**, you will play a vital role in the operations of our Trench Safety division. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation of customer orders and ensure the upkeep of trench safety equipment.

This position is highly collaborative and requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to protocols, and meticulous attention to detail.

Success in this role can pave the way for advancement within our Driver development program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, load, and unload equipment, assist with deliveries, and prepare equipment for rental
  • Perform routine inspections on rental equipment to guarantee safety and functionality
  • Verify delivery tickets and returns for precision
  • Engage with customers, addressing their inquiries about equipment and suggesting appropriate options
  • Provide recommendations on equipment and supplies to fulfill customer needs
  • Carry out additional assigned tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating medium to large forklifts is preferred
  • Familiarity with trench safety equipment is advantageous
  • Basic computer and mobile application skills
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication abilities
  • Adherence to safety guidelines
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs regularly
  • Personal protective equipment and work boots will be provided by the company

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies.
