Job Title: CBSA Security Guard

We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to join our team at the Canada Border Services Agency's Immigration Holding Center in Surrey.

Job Summary:

As a CBSA Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of individuals in our care. You will work closely with Federal Law Enforcement Officers to maintain a secure environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and escort individuals within the facility, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and monitor security software and equipment.
  • Generate daily incident reports and utilize tactical training to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate empathy and compassion in a vulnerable situation.
Requirements:
  • A valid British Columbia security guard license.
  • A valid and current First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) certification.
  • Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.
  • Canadian citizenship or Permanent residence status.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • 1-year of security guard experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities and work in a high-stress environment.
