Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated **Facilities Caretaker** to manage the upkeep of our residential properties. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.

Education Requirements
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Commercial properties
  • Shopping centers or malls
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, hallways, and stairs.
  • Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to effectively remove debris and refuse.
  • Regularly empty trash receptacles and waste containers.
  • Coordinate with contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct safety and security inspections of the premises.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety.
Equipment Used
  • Small tractors equipped with lawn and snow removal attachments.
Experience
  • Previous experience ranging from 1 to less than 7 months is preferred.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Engage with newcomers and refugees who have been displaced due to conflicts or natural disasters.
  • Assist in the recognition of foreign credentials for newcomers.
Support for Indigenous Communities
  • Build and maintain partnerships with indigenous communities and organizations.

  • Implement mentorship programs for visible minorities.
  • Provide diversity training to foster an inclusive workplace.
