Position Overview

The role of a Facilities Caretaker involves ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of residential properties. This position is crucial for maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.

Education Requirements
  • No formal education required.
Work Environment
  • Primarily in residential buildings.
  • May involve work in commercial settings such as shopping centers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors and hallways.
  • Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to eliminate dirt, debris, and refuse.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles.
  • Coordinate with contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct safety and security inspections regularly.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Equipment Used
  • Small tractors equipped for lawn and snow removal.
Experience
  • Experience ranging from 1 to less than 7 months is preferred.
