Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design/Development Engineer to join our team at Nett Technologies. As a key member of our design and development team, you will be responsible for leading and managing design and development projects for engine exhaust emission control products from initial concept to production phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage design and development projects for engine exhaust emission control products from initial concept to production phase.
  • Produce detailed design drawings and specifications for both manufactured and purchased components.
  • Establish quality benchmarks, investigate product failures, and analyze specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's design database (PDM).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and compliant with production capabilities.
  • Utilize product specifications and performance requirements to innovate designs that align with existing manufacturing capabilities.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, guiding them in their professional development.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in sheet metal design and fabrication.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
  • Strong grasp of modern engineering principles to enhance manufacturing process efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrable mechanical expertise with hands-on experience.

Preferred Additional Competencies:

  • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools like Converge.
  • Background in industries such as forklift, construction equipment, gen-set, mining, diesel/LPG engines, automotive, exhaust systems, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engine operation, exhaust emission control production, tool and die design, and manufacturing automation.
