We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to become a vital member of our Mining Infrastructure and Process Design division on a full-time basis.

This team specializes in the design of mining infrastructure, collaborating across various disciplines including dewatering systems, ore handling, paste backfill, tailings management, shotcrete applications, fuel and lubrication delivery, and pumping systems for mining operations, landfills, and contaminated sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop equipment and construction specifications;
  • Oversee the creation of design documentation;
  • Assist in technical and project execution tasks such as electrical equipment procurement and project estimation;
  • Support construction and commissioning processes;
  • Engage with internal stakeholders regularly to ensure project goals are met in accordance with expectations;
  • Participate in project meetings to guarantee quality client service;
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers;
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent qualifications;
  • A minimum of fifteen years of experience in engineering consultancy;
  • Experience in electrical engineering related to mining or industrial water treatment projects is advantageous;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel;
  • Active professional membership with PEO or equivalent is mandatory;
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and problem-solving abilities.
