Infrastructure Operations Supervisor

The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing all physical assets and logging operational infrastructure within the organization. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement and achieving exceptional outcomes in safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable timberland management.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership in Operations: Maintain exemplary standards in asset management concerning safety, environmental impact, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure that logging operations infrastructure, including roads, bridges, culverts, and major crossings, is properly maintained and in optimal condition.
- Support for Operations: Assist in the planning and maintenance of roads, bridges, and culverts to support operational needs.
- Operational Planning: Collaborate with the Operations team on both short-term and long-term operational strategies, including annual budgets and contract management.
- Capital Expenditure Management: Plan and oversee annual capital expenditures effectively.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with First Nations, government bodies, and industry stakeholders to enhance the organization's community presence.
- Strategic Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic initiatives for asset management.
- A degree in Engineering with a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.
- A Forestry Diploma or Degree with RFT or RPF designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Over 7 years of progressive experience in infrastructure management within the forestry sector.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license or equivalent is required.
- Proven track record in executing large-scale capital projects.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage consultants and staff across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Microsoft, ROADENG, GIS, LIDAR, GPS, and ARCMAP is advantageous.
- Experience in budget preparation and management aligned with corporate objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership in safety and environmental stewardship.
