The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join our team in Nanaimo or Nanoose Bay office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing oversight of all physical assets and logging operating infrastructure for our Company operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership within operations, maintaining high standards in asset management relative to safety, environment, quality, productivity, and cost;
- Ensure logging operations infrastructure (roads, bridges, culverts, major crossings, dry land sorts, etc.) are well maintained and in good condition;
- Support operations with roads, bridges, and culvert installations planning and maintenance activities;
- Assist the Operations team with short-term and long-term operational plans, annual budgets, contract management systems, negotiating rates, and resolving operational issues;
- Responsible for planning and managing annual Capital expenditures;
- Maintain and foster good relationships with First Nations, government agencies, and industry players to preserve and enhance the Company's position within the industry and the overall community;
- Develop and implement asset management strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree with Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with the Engineers and Geoscientists BC;
- Forestry Diploma or Degree with RFT or RPF designation is preferred, but not required;
- 7+ years of experience in increasingly responsible infrastructure management positions in the forestry sector;
- Valid Class 5 driver's license or equivalent;
- Demonstrated ability to execute large capital projects;
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and lead consultants and staff to execute a wide range of projects simultaneously;
- Aptitude in Microsoft, ROADENG, GIS, LIDAR, GPS, ARCMAP based mapping and other evolving computer applications is preferred but not required;
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage budgets to meet corporate goals;
- Leadership capacity in safety and environmental stewardship.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $106,800 to $133,400. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
