About the Role
iA Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director to lead our Real Estate Investments and Asset Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive investment strategy for our real estate portfolio, ensuring optimal returns and alignment with our business plan.
- Lead investment transactions, including acquisitions, provisions, and development, within the Quebec and Ontario markets.
- Supervise detailed financial analyses and recommend investment transactions that meet our business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect information and negotiate agreements.
- Coordinate due diligence and closing processes, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Prepare and present reports to our Investment Committee and Board of Directors.
Asset Management Component
- Work with property managers to ensure the continued performance of assets and approve recommendations for value enhancement.
- Analyze and revise annual operating and capital budgets, business plans, and action plans.
- Monitor and analyze monthly/quarterly financial management reports, making recommendations to reduce unfavorable variances.
- Manage and provide leadership in partner relations, upholding our interests and investment conventions.
- Perform financial tracking for development, redevelopment, and capital expenditure projects, analyzing their impacts on global profitability and asset performance.
- Revise market value appraisal reports and advise on their findings.
- Coordinate strategic reviews of each property, making recommendations for future positioning and prospects.
Portfolio Management Component
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an investment strategy for our entire real estate portfolio.
- Monitor real estate market indicators and macroeconomic forecasts, advising on their impact on the portfolio.
- Assist in producing quarterly and annual real estate reports for the entire portfolio.
Other Components
- Cultivate a network of real estate professionals and stay up-to-date on market trends and investment environments.
- Collaborate with iA Financial Group's corporate stakeholders on regulatory matters.
- Supervise personnel, including analysts and managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Urban and Real Estate Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in asset transactions and management.
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of Office Suite (especially Excel) and Argus software.
- Designated Certified Appraiser (an asset).
- Knowledge of the institutional real estate sector (an asset).
