About the Role

iA Financial Group is seeking a Senior Director, Real Estate Investments and Asset Management to join our team. As a key member of our Real Estate Investments and Asset Management team, you will be responsible for achieving optimal returns by enhancing the value of our real estate assets, while aligning with our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise detailed financial analyses and recommend investment transactions that align with our business plan.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information for investment transactions.
  • Lead negotiations with external partners and property managers.
  • Coordinate due diligence and closing processes for transactions.
  • Prepare documents for the Investment Committee and/or Board of Directors.

Asset Management Component

  • Work with property managers to ensure asset performance and approve recommendations for value enhancement.
  • Analyze and revise annual operating and capital budgets, business plans, and action plans.
  • Review monthly/quarterly financial management reports and make recommendations to reduce unfavorable variances.
  • Manage partner relations to uphold group interests and investment conventions.
  • Perform financial tracking for development, redevelopment, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Revise market value appraisal reports and advise on findings.
  • Coordinate strategic reviews of properties and make recommendations.

Portfolio Management Component

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an investment strategy for the real estate portfolio.
  • Monitor real estate market indicators and macroeconomic forecasts.
  • Produce quarterly and annual real estate reports for the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Urban and Real Estate Planning, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in asset transactions and management.
  • Excellent command of French and English for frequent interaction with internal colleagues and partners.
  • Excellent knowledge of Office Suite and Argus software.
  • Designated Certified Appraiser and knowledge of the institutional real estate sector.
