Position Summary:

We are seeking a Project Controls Lead (PCL) to oversee our operations. The PCL will guide the Project Controls Team, which includes Project Controls Specialists and Project Coordinators, ensuring the governance, processes, tools, and metrics are effectively managed within the Project Management Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and refine procedures, tools, and best practices for the efficient management of the project portfolio.
  • Lead the PMO team in understanding and adhering to project controls requirements.
  • Delegate tasks to the Project Controls Team to implement and maintain effective controls across projects.
  • Provide accurate data to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure comprehensive instructions are available to support PMO procedures.
  • Conduct audits on resource forecasting at the portfolio level.
  • Enhance scheduling, earned-value management, change management, and risk management fundamentals.
  • Collaborate with the PMO Manager to assign specific project tasks to the Project Controls Team.
  • Engage in direct support of various projects and programs.
  • Simplify information sources for reliable reporting across the portfolio.
  • Support departmental objectives for effective project controls execution.
  • Empower PMO staff in establishing governance for project execution.
  • Assist in recruitment, development, and performance management of team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement in governance, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with management.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Organize and lead meetings to ensure clear communication and expectations.
  • Accountable for project data accuracy and performance metrics dissemination.
  • Responsible for reporting and advocating for departmental resource needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience in project controls within a project-based organization.
  • Expertise in project management fundamentals including scheduling and budget controls.
  • Proficient in organizing and analyzing large data sets.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Proficient in data analytics and critical thinking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 years of industry experience.
  • 10 years of project controls experience in a project-based environment.
  • 5 years of experience managing a Project Controls Team.
  • Experience in the nuclear energy sector.
  • Advanced skills in Oracle Primavera P6 and database management.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining project controls in a project-based business.

Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is between $86,000 and $132,000 per year, with variations based on market factors and individual qualifications. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as cash incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
