Job Title: Clinical Leadership Position

Job Summary:

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Leadership Position to join our team. As a Clinical Leadership Position, you will play a key role in supporting point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, individual and group treatment for patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support inpatient point-of-care teams and models of care
  • Role model clinical practice in complex care situations
  • Engage in direct care activities for complex and high-risk clients
  • Lead development of the program's groups programming
  • Support inter-professional collaborative care, academic and research opportunities
  • Promote the implementation and audit of documentation standards
  • Participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety
  • Supervise graduate students

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (or related discipline)
  • 5 years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complex psychiatric and physical health needs of this clinical population
  • Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health, or other relevant certification
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous advanced practice/administrative/academic scholarship
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching and computer skills
  • Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language
