The ideal candidate will possess strong arboricultural skills and climbing expertise, coupled with a proactive, safety-oriented approach. Organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to communicate clearly are essential for success in this training position.

Candidates should have prior experience in the tree care field, particularly in Utility Line Clearance, which encompasses bucket trimming, climbing, and tree removal methodologies. Proficiency with advanced climbing techniques and off-road machinery, including skidders, aerial lifts, jarraff's, and mowers, is required.

This position is full-time, year-round, and involves outdoor physical labor and training responsibilities. Duties include traveling to various work sites, with occasional overnight stays, and providing hands-on demonstrations and training both in-person and virtually through platforms like Microsoft Teams.

Requirements:

  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Comfort with outdoor work and the ability to operate independently
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Ability to accept responsibility and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Minimum age of 18 with a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license in good standing, with a preference for a Commercial Driver's License
  • Capability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications such as CTSP (Certified Tree Care Safety Professional), First Aid, Arborist, Pesticide, and Commercial Driver's License
  • Experience with bucket trimming and climbing techniques
  • Proficient computer and presentation skills
  • Physical ability to perform job requirements, including navigating uneven terrain and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer physical and drug screening, as well as a background and motor vehicle check.
