Job Title: SharePoint Business and Support Specialist

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Business and Support Specialist to join our team on a 3-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension to 6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our SharePoint Online environment, ensuring seamless collaboration and content management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Participate in and manage SharePoint Online projects and solutions, ensuring timely completion and effective implementation.
  • Configuration and Administration: Configure and administer SharePoint Online features, including form libraries, lists, workflows, team sites, content management sites, user permissions, enterprise search, security, and reporting services.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance on SharePoint and other content management systems, ensuring users have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize these tools.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct formal meetings with key stakeholders to interpret requirements, analyze, and identify how technology can be used to best support and enhance day-to-day business processes.
  • Solution Development: Use advanced knowledge of out-of-the-box SharePoint features and tools to recommend solutions that meet business needs, improving operational efficiencies and automating business processes.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical design documentation, including business functions, processes, and system requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance checks, identify and resolve data and security issues, and manage change requests in a timely fashion.
  • Training and Development: Create and provide training for site owners and site users, produce how-to documentation, reference materials, and conduct group training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent, with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Office 365, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Experience: Experience with SharePoint security administration and fundamental site management concepts, as well as thorough knowledge of sites, permissions, content types, pages, lists, libraries, web parts, and out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to research current and emerging information technologies, present content to teams, and effectively communicate in technical and non-technical terms.
