Nutrition Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of Nutrition and Food Services within the Eastern Zone, including multiple sites in Antigonish, Sherbrooke, Guysborough, and Canso areas.
The Nutrition Manager will champion the integration of nutrition care and food service, providing nutrition care services to patients, residents, and clients in institutional, ambulatory, and community settings. They will collaborate on provincial initiatives and standards, such as the implementation of the Nova Scotia Health Healthy Eating Policy, and work with the NFS leadership team to develop and implement new initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, completion of an accredited dietetic internship program, and membership in a professional association, such as Dietitians of Canada. They will also have five years of progressive management experience in healthcare as a dietitian, with clinically related practice experience, and experience in scope of practice for dietitians, dietetic technicians, and food service supervisors and managers.
The Nutrition Manager will be responsible for interpreting statistical data, monitoring quality and performance indicators, and building and maintaining collaborative working relationships and partnerships. They will also have experience in financial planning and human resource management, as well as knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and standards.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in management and leadership roles.
- They will be able to interpret statistical data, monitor quality and performance indicators, and build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships.
- The candidate will also have experience in financial planning and human resource management, as well as knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and standards.
- This is a permanent, full-time position, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule.
- Travel to various sites may be required.
The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
They may also be eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
