Dietitian - Interprofessional Nutrition Specialist

The Dietitian is responsible for providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities. This role involves advising on diet and food and nutrition across all health sectors, and providing leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients.
The Dietitian participates in the Nutrition and Food Services team, collaborating with healthcare providers to share nutrition expertise, ensure quality and continuity of care, and support a range of healthcare services.
This position requires a strong understanding of nutrition and dietetics, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, a Dietetic Internship Program, and current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who possesses the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietetics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the interprofessional healthcare team
- Competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Experience counselling patients and providing nutrition education
- Current WHMIS certification and proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
This is a permanent part-time position, working 45 hours biweekly. The hourly rate is $43.43. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
