Nutrition Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Nutrition and Food Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of nutrition care services to our patients, residents, and clients.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with a minimum of five years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of nutrition operations, including the management of nutrition care services, food services, and clinical dietetics.
You will work closely with our Director of Nutrition and Food Services to develop and implement new initiatives, champion the integration of nutrition care and food service, and ensure compliance with therapeutic nutrition requirements and restrictions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with our multidisciplinary team. You will also have a strong understanding of financial planning, human resource management, and quality improvement principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and control all aspects of nutrition operations
- Manage nutrition care services, food services, and clinical dietetics
- Develop and implement new initiatives to improve nutrition care services
- Champion the integration of nutrition care and food service
- Ensure compliance with therapeutic nutrition requirements and restrictions
- Lead and manage a team of dietitians, dietetic technicians, and food service supervisors
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
- Membership in a professional association, such as Dietitians of Canada
- Five years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong understanding of financial planning, human resource management, and quality improvement principles
