About the Position

Athabasca University's Centre for Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology, commencing January 2, 2025. This is a full-time position located in Alberta, Canada.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop new courses as determined by the needs of the program and their research interests. They will also coordinate and revise existing courses in the program. Evidence of teaching excellence is required. Experience supervising graduate students would also be considered an asset.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Psychology and will complement our current faculty's expertise. Applications are encouraged from those who have quantitative expertise and a strong quantitative focus in their research program, regardless of specific psychological field or background.

The successful applicant will be expected to maintain a robust research program in a virtual environment and be able to provide research training opportunities for Psychology students. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies would also be preferred assets.
