Department Manager

As a Department Manager at H&M, you will play a critical role in driving sales and profit growth in your assigned department. You will be responsible for setting and achieving sales and profit goals, while ensuring that the department operates in accordance with H&M's standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Profit:
- Analyze and follow up on sales and profit key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department, working closely with visual merchandisers to maximize selling.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profit growth, including optimizing store operations and ensuring that commercial activities are executed effectively.
- Lead and motivate the department team to achieve sales and profit goals, providing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting expectations.
- Ensure that the department is well-stocked and merchandised, with a focus on driving sales and profit growth.
- People and Teams:
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of department team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Evaluate and manage the performance of department team members, providing regular feedback and coaching to help them improve their performance.
- Develop and implement succession plans for department team members, ensuring that the department has a strong pipeline of talent.
- Ensure that the department operates in accordance with H&M's policies and procedures, including health and safety, security, and employee relations.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure that the department provides an exceptional customer experience, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their shopping experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive customer engagement and loyalty, including loyalty programs and customer retention initiatives.
- Education and Experience:
- 1-2+ years of experience in a retail or sales environment, with a focus on sales and profit growth.
- Strong knowledge of sales and profit drivers, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on driving sales and profit growth.
