About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Integrated Construction Technology Coordinator to join our team at PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario. As a key member of our project team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of construction technology solutions that drive efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create construction site logistics models, promoting effective communication and coordination.
  • Coordinate trade partner model updates and reports to the project management team, ensuring seamless integration and resolution of issues.
  • Assist in model updates and revisions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Support the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Promote the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff, driving adoption and improving workflows.
  • Share knowledge of new technologies with project teams, seeking opportunities to drive adoption of PCL technologies through operational processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service and support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
  • Some co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
  • Drafting and modeling experience.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
  • Working knowledge and training in 3D modeling software and the ability to create content in VDC software is an asset.
  • Exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret markups to construction drawings.
  • Ability to participate in trade coordination meetings and understand trade partner deliverables and scope.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
