About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Integrated Construction Technology Coordinator to join our team at PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario. As a key member of our project team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of construction technology solutions that drive efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create construction site logistics models, promoting effective communication and coordination.
  • Coordinate trade partner model updates and report to the project management team as necessary.
  • Assist with model updates and revisions, ensuring seamless integration with project requirements.
  • Support the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Promote the use of virtual construction tools and processes among project staff, driving adoption and best practices.
  • Share knowledge of new technologies with project teams and contribute to the development of operational processes that leverage PCL's technology capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
  • Relevant experience in a construction environment, with a focus on construction technology and BIM.
  • Drafting and modeling experience, with proficiency in 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software and VDC software, with the ability to create content and collaborate with project teams.
  • Exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools, with a strong understanding of construction logistics and coordination.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to participate in trade coordination meetings and understand trade partner deliverables and scope.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
