Unit Claims Manager, Support

At Intact Financial Corporation, we're seeking a skilled Unit Claims Manager, Support, to join our team on a 12-month secondment. This role offers a unique opportunity to progress your leadership career within Accident Benefits.
About the Role
As a Unit Claims Manager, Support, you will play a critical role in the successful management of our Shared Admin Services operation. Your leadership skills, initiative, and ability to coach and develop others will be essential in achieving key business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve key business goals within Shared Admin Services
- Provide effective leadership, motivate staff, and be responsible for hiring and delivering employee performance feedback
- Coach team members on technical and professional skills, and facilitate continuous learning through robust development plans
- Develop and recommend management and/or organizational initiatives to support company strategies
- Conduct Quality Reviews monthly and provide feedback and/or training
- Monitor and ensure service level compliance, and report regularly on productivity, service, and specific goals and objectives
- Maintain a respectful and productive business relationship with vendors, service providers, legal firms, and internal client groups
Requirements
- Proven leadership skills, taking initiative, and the ability to coach and develop others
- Experience with effective collaboration across the organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient at multi-tasking and prioritizing
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
- Analytical skills to deal with policy, legal, and regulatory interpretation and implementation
- University Degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
