Logistics Supervisor Job Description

BEST CHOICE TRUCKING LTD is seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics operations, including metrics on productivity and product quality.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and conduct performance reviews for logistics staff.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including establishing work schedules and procedures.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers and/or refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

Requirements: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in logistics operations. Permanent position, 44 hours per week, English language.
