Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Baggage Programs and Projects team at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. As Associate Director, Baggage Programs and Projects, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our baggage handling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for baggage programs and projects
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with government agencies, airlines, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key partners and customers
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate operational disruptions
  • Lead and manage the Common Handler service contract
  • Implement the Toronto Pearson Baggage Strategy projects
  • Define project requirements to accommodate growth and capacity
  • Assist in the development of business cases to optimize baggage systems
  • Review and approve project management documents
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in a large airport, airline, or similar industry
  • Experience with management in a unionized environment
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance
