About the Role

Crofton House School is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Associate Teacher to join our vibrant and innovative school community. As an Associate Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students, from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a sense of belonging and connection with students and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in diverse classrooms, utilizing a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Support Student Learning: Provide small group and individual instruction, collaborating with colleagues to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement curriculum plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback.
  • Leadership and Professional Development: Participate in a dynamic professional development network, engaging in ongoing learning and growth to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices.
  • Co-Curricular Activities: Lead and participate in co-curricular activities, fostering a sense of community and promoting student engagement and enthusiasm.

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong Time-Management and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate effective time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to Teaching the Whole Child: Be committed to teaching the whole child, with a focus on social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
  • Collaborative and Flexible: Be a collaborative and flexible team player, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
