We are seeking a full-time Associate Educator to engage with us on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. Experience teaching in a dynamic, play-based kindergarten program, primary classrooms emphasizing emergent literacy and numeracy, project-based learning, or a distinct middle school curriculum tailored to the unique development of preadolescent girls as they prepare for high school.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist areas such as French, Art, PE, and Music as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with classroom educators in areas such as curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment.
  • Offer personalized instruction and learning support for individual students.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional periods.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and clubs each term, such as choir, debating, cooking, public speaking, coding, and musical theater.
  • Engage in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or equivalent.
